Park in the small lot just off Littleton County Road south of the intersection with Cleaves Hill Road. This walk is approximately 1.5 miles over relatively easy trails.

Leave your car or your bike in the parking lot.
Head south on the trail and check out this spot.

Some tall Colorado blue spruce you will find on one side.

Ahead is a rock that looks like a seal trying to hide.

The path will soon split. Go right and find the yellow blaze.
You’ll see lots of stone walls. Does it feel like a maze?

A big pine tree marks a woodland roundabout.
Bear to the right and banish all doubt.

Now take a good look and two meadows you’ll see.
You’re surrounded by old farm fields, ringed with large trees.

Peer off to your left and you may just spot
a place where some kids can hide if it’s hot.

Beyond the tree fort there’s a huge satellite receiver.
Scientists use it to study extra planetary life. Are you a believer?

Head down the hill along the stone wall.
You’ll find a small bridge. Be careful. Don’t fall.

Another choice of direction, and of course you’ll go right.
Find a birch with multi-colored blazes. It is quite a sight.

Follow the brook and look all around.
How many different species of trees can be found?

As you proceed down the path, keep a sharp eye.
There are piles of rocks and intricate walls you can spy.

You’ll see some big ledges and go past a swamp.
Look for turkey tails and princess pines as you tromp.

Bear left with the trail and head back west.
You are now almost done with your quest.

A huge yellow birch is to the right of the trail.
You are getting close and now you won’t fail.

Look for the treasure on the back of the tree.
If you return to the bridge you’ve missed it, you see.

We hope you’ve had fun and seen something new.
To the Mullers who conserved this land, we all say

THANK YOU!
