Executive Director – Marylynn Gentry

Marylynn has spent the last 17 years in the land protection field. She is a board member of the Sudbury Valley Trustees, a regional land trust based in Sudbury, where she served as president for four years and remains on their land protection committee.  She is also a board member of the Massachusetts Land Trust Coalition. A Wayland resident, Gentry has volunteered on her town’s Conservation Commission and Community Preservation Committee.

A Vermont native and graduate of the University of Vermont, Gentry has always valued open spaces. She also holds master’s degrees from Penn State and MIT and received the 2004 Conservation Award from the New England Wildflower Society.

Executive Secretary – Linda Kaferle

Linda moved to Harvard with her husband and two children in 1994. As a stay-at-home mom, she became an active volunteer in the schools, the Cub Scouts and the Harvard Athletic Association. This gave her an opportunity to contribute, while getting to know the people and resources of this wonderful town. Linda enjoys the benefit of living across the street from an entry to the Bowers Springs/Bare Hill Wildlife Sanctuary and walks her Springer Spaniel there daily.

In the late 90's, Linda was recruited by the Superintendent of Schools to work in a paid secretarial capacity for the Bromfield School Building Committee, and subsequently was recruited for a similar job on the Harvard Town Library Building Committee. She found both jobs to be fulfilling, and, in 2007, agreed to replace Audrey Ball, the long-time Executive Secretary of the Harvard Conservation Trust. She has thoroughly enjoyed her work for each of these worthwhile organizations and looks forward to continuing to help the Trust in its mission to preserve the unique character and natural resources of Harvard.
